ONEJOON and Sylvatex Partner to Accelerate Commercial Production of Cost-Competitive Domestic Cathode Materials
Strategic collaboration combines ONEJOON's commercial-scale battery equipment and Lab-to-Production (L2P) expertise with Sylvatex's differentiated precursor-free manufacturing platform to accelerate time-to-market for U.S. LFP supply chains as demand accelerates across AI data centers, energy storage, mobility, and defense
Suwon, South Korea, Aug. 10, 2026 – ONEJOON, a global provider of process equipment and engineering solutions for battery material production, announced today a strategic partnership with Sylvatex (SVX), an advanced cathode manufacturing company developing a domestic, precursor-free platform for lithium iron phosphate (LFP) and next-generation battery chemistries. The partnership establishes a structured commercialization pathway to accelerate Sylvatex's transition to commercial-scale LFP production in the United States.
Through ONEJOON's L2P (Lab-to-Production) Program, the company will support Sylvatex's scale-up journey from process validation through commercial deployment, de-risking the transition with proven equipment, process engineering, and hands-on upscaling support at each stage. The L2P Program is designed specifically to help advanced materials innovators bridge the gap between promising lab-scale chemistry and dependable, high-throughput industrial production.
"ONEJOON's role has always been to take promising process technology and make it work reliably at industrial scale," said Sung Je Lee, ONEJOON Group’s CEO. "Sylvatex has developed a genuinely differentiated approach to cathode manufacturing, and we're excited to bring our thermal and powder processing equipment and experience to help accelerate their path to commercial production here in the United States."
The use of commercially available equipment, combined with ONEJOON's process integration and scale-up capabilities, is expected to improve execution certainty and support replication across future production facilities. Together, the companies intend to establish a scalable manufacturing platform capable of supporting the next generation of domestic battery manufacturing, strengthening supply chain resilience as LFP demand accelerates across AI data centers, energy storage, mobility, and defense applications.
"We're proud to partner with Sylvatex at such a pivotal moment for the U.S. battery industry," added Mr. Lee "This collaboration reflects our broader mission: helping innovators move efficiently and confidently from lab-scale process development to dependable, large-scale production. Which is exactly what our L2P Program is built to do."
