ONEJOON and Blue Flash: New race car rolled out
We have been supporting Blue Flash, the racing team of HAWK Hildesheim/Holzminden/Göttingen, in the development of its vehicles for many years. As part of the sponsorship, the students regularly visit our production facility to weld parts for their racing car, for example.
The E_HAWK23 goes to the starting line
Now the new racing car for the coming Formula Student season has been unveiled: Blue Flash chose a very fitting setting for it with the PS.SPEICHER in Einbeck. The new vehicle, the E_HAWK23, has undergone striking innovations compared to its predecessors. At first glance, the smaller wheels and also the rear spoiler stand out. The team explained these technical adjustments in detail at the rollout event.
A practical project that prepares for the job
Bjoern Fabig, personnel officer at ONEJOON, emphasised in his speech at the event that Blue Flash was testing future technology and electromobility in the project and bringing them to the race track. The point of contact with ONEJOON is particularly in the area of e-mobility, because the industrial furnace manufacturer produces, among other things, systems for the heat treatment of powders that are used in batteries for e-cars. According to Fabig, the Blue Flash team already has the mindset to drive innovation in their future careers as engineers thanks to the practical orientation of the project.
Blue Flash has been around since 2014 and was originally founded by 30 HAWK students. Every year, the team develops a new vehicle with which it participates in Formula Student. With the E_HAWK23, Blue Flash is already presenting its seventh racing car. ONEJOON has been a sponsor from the very beginning.
