New addition to the ONEJOON management team

Introducing our future CEO Stefan Schatz.

Stefan Schatz took up his new position as CEO of ONEJOON GmbH on June 1, 2024. He replaces André Görnhardt, who is retiring at the end of the year after 39 years with the company. In order to make the transition in the management team as smooth as possible, Mr. Görnhardt will support Stefan Schatz during his induction and provide him with advice.

Stefan Schatz – no stranger to ONEJOON

The electrical engineer worked for our supplier Kanthal/Alleima for over 30 years, where he was Managing Director and Global Operations Manager responsible for seven production sites worldwide (Germany, Sweden, UK, USA, India, China, Japan). “After 30 years, I was looking for a new challenge and was delighted to be approached by ONEJOON. A great motivation for me is to get to know plant/furnace construction from the OEM side,” says the 58-year-old, explaining his career change.

A warm welcome!

The team gave Stefan Schatz a warm welcome at an employee information event at the end of June. ONEJOON president Sung Je Lee was also present to wish the new recruit all the best and present him with a welcome gift. In the future, Mr. Schatz will mainly work at the Bovenden site. He will also visit our office in Böblingen at regular intervals.

Insight into his management style

In his welcome speech, Stefan Schatz emphasized the values that are important to him when working together: honest communication, openness and trust. “Even if something goes wrong, nobody gets their head ripped off. It's just important to find out what the problem was and how we can solve it together,” he explained.

He is particularly looking forward to the new environment, the products, colleagues and customers. “Electrification is coming, so I believe that ONEJOON can find good solutions for our partners, especially in the battery, advanced materials & processes and carbon fiber sectors,” says Schatz, looking at the industry trends.
