Process

The continuous process of hardening and tempering bimetal saw bands

Bimetal saw bands are composed of two different materials: The backing material and the cutting material.
While the backing material should have a high flexibility, the cutting material must be hard and wear-resistant.

When hardening and tempering saw bands, these different properties are achieved by the following process steps:

  • Hardening:
Heating and soaking the saw band to hardening temperature in the hardening furnace and subsequent quenching in the cooling section
  • Tempering:
Multiple heating and soaking to tempering temperature in the tempering furnace and subsequent cooling in cooling sections

Plant Engineering

ALO 198-ILT hardening and tempering furnace plants

Our partner ALO Center AB from Sweden sells continuous hardening and tempering furnace plants with hardening and tempering furnaces from ONEJOON.

Due to the modular plant concept we design the plant according to your requirements:

  • plant components individually selectable
  • energy-efficient multiple tempering in tempering furnaces
  • variable furnace lengths
  • compact design through induction preheating and short cooling zones
  • two saw bands per plant possible
  • gentle turning of the band enables special layouts
