Division into two independent companies
1956
Adolf Ruhstrat (a son of the company founder Ernst Ruhstrat) took over the plant at the Leinekanal (Goetheallee) and concentrated on the execution of electrical installations, lightning protection, industrial wiring and on the production of switchgears and power supply systems. In 1969 Andrea Ruhstrat took over the management of the company Adolf Ruhstrat. The range of services planning and installation of electrical and heating systems was supplemented by the areas of ventilation and air conditioning. At the end of the 1970s, the company headquarters were moved from the city center to Adolf-Hoyer-Strasse in Göttingen's industrial area. In 1992 the company RUHSTRAT Haus- und Versorgungstechnik GmbH emerged from the company Adolf Ruhstrat.
The second company continued to operate as Ruhstrat GmbH and moved its headquarters to Bovenden/Lenglern in 1960. The company was active in four business areas:
- electric and fuel-fired industrial furnaces,
- transformers, chokes, power resistors,
- safety power supplies, safety lighting,
- terminals, bushings, bushings
